The baoapp.africa website and BAO platform are currently published by Yabyoure Philippe OUEDRAOGO, the person currently responsible for the service before registration, acting within the BAO project. BAO Technologies is a single-member limited liability company formed in Burkina Faso, not yet registered with the RCCM.

The BAO name, logo, visual identity and original website content are used within the BAO project. Unauthorised reproduction or use is prohibited, subject to rights attached to third-party content and data.

Some location data relies on OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors) and BAO field collection. Transport data is structured in interoperable formats including GTFS.
